Kodo Kyoden Temple ~ School Visit ~ Lunch ~ Group Discussions
Visiting this Tendai-based Buddhist temple was a pleasurable experience. The leader Amaso and his wife Rinko were kind, gracious hosts, the teachers and students of the school were very welcoming, and the volunteers provided us with interesting conversation. I think that many of us were surprised that the main god of this temple is Mahakada (Daikoku), the God of Wealth. Although many of us from the West desire wealth, we don't usually pronounce it as clearly as at this temple.
