Required: Ability to print, scan and e-mail pdf files on a daily basis.

Required: 7 meetings on Weed campus (ESTC-113) 8:00-9:30 a.m. to take exams on 1/31, 2/14, 3/6, 3/22, 4/17, 5/15, and final exam on 5/22. Proctors will be available at Tulelake, Happy Camp, and Yreka Campus. Other distant students are responsible for finding and/or paying for a suitable proctor. All proctors must meet instructor's approval well before test dates.

Required: Hawkes Discovering Statistics software. See www.hawkeslearning.com to purchase (about $40). Do not purchase used software as it can not be re-registered to another person.

Required: Excel 07.

Required: High speed internet connection.

Required: TI-83 or TI-84 calculator with or without the "plus".

Recommended: Familiarity with Etudes.

Required:  Discovering Statistics, second edition, by James S Hawkes.  See www.hawkeslearning.com, the COS bookstore, or search for a used copy (usually may be found online for under $10 used).

Students may begin working on the course by visiting https://myetudes.org the first day of class (1/17).

Recommended: Students should plan to spend at least one hour per week in the COS Math Lab located in LRC on Weed Campus. They are normally open 9-3 M-Th and 9-noon F.
