Online Course Information Page

This course attempts to introduce students to the great ideas and philosophies of non-violence. It is holistic, gender fair, racially neutral, interdisciplinary and very diverse. It encourages student participation, co-operative learning and community service. Although the differences among cultures will be examined, an attempt will be made to stress the similarities in all of them. Non-violent dispute resolution and peer mediation will be studied and practiced. The lives and works of twelve peacemakers of the twentieth century will serve as role models. (AA,CSU,UC)
