XCS 0384 - Traffic Violator School


Traffic Violator School is offered through College of the Siskiyous as a community service. Please click the links below for more information. College of the Siskiyous is a DMV approved site (PDF file).

Important Information

ALL attendees MUST bring the following two items with them to class in order to receive their DMV Completion Certificate at the end of class.

  1. Your current and valid driver's license. If revoked or suspended, let the instructor know at class.
  2. The "Case" or "Docket" number assigned to you by the presiding court. This information is located on the court paperwork sent to you in regards to your particular citation. It does not involve nor is it assigned by the College of the Siskiyous. If you can not locate your "Case" or "Docket" number, please contact the court which has jurisdiction over your case.

Please Note

  • Shasta County Courts do not accept College of the Siskiyous traffic school as we are not affiliated with CTSI. You can reach the Shasta County Traffic School at (530) 244-2239
  • You can only take this course every 18 months.
  • Juveniles cannot take an online traffic school unless approved by the court.
  • College of the Siskiyous offers Traffic School in Weed only. Please ensure that you register early if you want to attend.

Process for Completing Traffic Violator School

  • Register right away! Complete the registration process. You must pre-register for the course, sections fill up very quickly. The cost of the course is $39.00, payable to College of the Siskiyous. Please note this amount is paid directly to COS and is not affiliated with any court. Cost includes $9 health fee.
  • Attend the section that you signed up for. Bring your court papers with your docket number and your driver's license to class.
  • You will receive a certificate of completion once the course is completed . You need to present this certificate to the court that issued your citation.

If you are unable to attend the class you register for, you must contact College of the Siskiyous prior to the class date for a refund or to reschedule. If you do not contact COS prior to the class date, you will not receive a refund and will need to pay an additional $39.00 to reschedule.

Registration

Individuals can register for traffic school in one of two ways:
  • Online Registration.
    Please select this link to register via our online registration program. You must have a credit card (Visa/MC) and an e-mail address to proceed . This is the preferred method of registration, as you will receive immediate confirmation of a seat in the class you wish to attend.
  • Mail Registration / In Person
    Please download the Registration form (PDF). Please complete all boxes, sign at the bottom and return to College of the Siskiyous with your $39.00 (cost includes $9 health fee) made payable to COS. Mail registrations can take up to three weeks to process. Students who bring registration paperwork to the Weed or Yreka campus will be registered on-site.
If we receive your registration through the mail and the class you have chosen is already full, you will need to specify if there is an alternate section you would like to register for or if you would like COS to return your registration fee. All incomplete forms will be returned for completion and a seat will not be held in the class you wish to register for.

Please note: All students registering for Traffic Violator School will be assessed a $9 health fee.
