What is one thing you would like to see accomplished during your legacy as Student Ambassador?
One thing I would like to see accomplished during my time as a Student Ambassador is that I would like to increase communication between students, staff and instructors (through surveys, meetings, etc...) and maybe help COS revamp some of their programs so we are more current and reputable as a college.

Where is your hometown? What involvement did you have in your community?
I'm from Etna, in Scott Valley. We're a strong farming and ranching area, with a lot of community support for sports events, theater plays, and potlucks. I was a member of the Scott Valley Swim Team for 8 years, and have taken part in local soccer, basketball, and baseball camps. I'm also a community artist with the Medford Civic Ballet, and have been involved for 7 years now.

What are some of your favorite hobbies?
I'm very much a performing artist, and enjoy acting, singing, playing instruments, and dancing. I've taken part in 3 plays here at COS, and have been a member of the COS Chamber Music Ensemble, the Concert Choir, the Chamber Singers, and the Concert Band. As I mentioned above, I dance with the Medford Civic Ballet, and have recently started teaching ballet. I also write in my spare time, and can often be found in the Campus Library reading a book or browsing the shelves.

What do you like most about College of the Siskiyous?
I like the atmosphere of the College. It doesn't feel like any other college I've been to. Everyone here is really nice and welcoming. As soon as I step off the bus in the morning, I'm surrounded by friendly faces. I can go to the Café, grab a coffee, and chat with my teachers over some pancakes. There is a real community feel to COS. You feel safe, you feel like you're at your own home. Add to that a beautiful campus with green lawns and trees, fresh air, and snow in the winter, and you have, in my opinion, one of the best college experiences on the West Coast.

What is your Major? Where do you plan to transfer?
I'm a Theater Arts Major, which means my schedule is insane. I'm on campus all day, every day. This gives me a chance to use the campus' free wifi, catch up on homework, or to help my classmates. I also use the time to participate in Student Clubs, work as a Student Ambassador, and hang out with friends. I haven't decided where I want to transfer to, but I'm currently looking at UCLA. It has a solid Acting program, and hopefully has some filming opportunities around it. However, I depend on scholarships and financial aid for my college tuition, so where I transfer to depends a lot on what scholarships I receive.

What is one thing you would like to see accomplished during your legacy as Student Ambassador?
The College of the Siskiyous has the potential to become the premier community college in California for the Performing Arts. We have some truly amazing faculty here, who have inspired me to reach for my dreams. We boast the largest theater in the county, and probably the best Theater program in Northern California. The Music program is magnificent, and I can attest to the dance potential in the area. And what better place to have a Film program than on one of the most beautiful campuses in California? The College is bursting at the seams with Performing Arts potential just waiting to be taken advantage of.

Where is your hometown? What involvement did you have in your community?
My hometown is in Mt. Shasta, where I still live. When I was younger, I was in community choir since I was two year old, I've volunteered as a patient in the COS EMT class, and did the same for Paramedics last year. Since October of 2012 I have taken Taekwondo and in 2013, Yongmudo. There have been many opportunities to reach out to the community, as well as help with food drives.

What are some of your favorite hobbies?
I like to do a lot, so I'm a very busy person. I take Martial Arts and love to dance, and have taken classes in hip hop, ballet, lyrical, and Irish Step, which was probably my favorite. I sing, play guitar, know a bit of piano, and recently, due to my high school band class, have picked up bass guitar and a bit of drums. I also love acting, and have been in 11 shows since 2012.

What do you like most about College of the Siskiyous?
It's hard to choose one thing I like the most about COS. I practically grew up here, with my dad, grandpa, and aunt all have worked or are working here. The campus is beautiful. The staff is kind and fantastic. Also the Siskiyou Promise allows me to get my AA for basically free.

What is your Major? Where do you plan to transfer?
I am majoring in Musical Theatre and Psychology. I have not decided where I want to transfer too, but am looking at SOU, NAU, and CWU.

What is one thing you would like to see accomplished during your legacy as Student Ambassador?
One thing I would like to see is more student social events. It would be great to see different national holidays, like National Donut Day, celebrated. I think it would make the campus a bit more quirky, and it would be a lot of fun.
