COS Athletics
College of the Siskiyous has offered competitive intercollegiate sports programs since 1960. COS competes in the Golden Valley Conference in women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball and track and field. Football competes in the Mid-Empire Conference, which is a member of the Northern California Football Association. Our college offers a selection of facilities for both training and competition, Herschel Meredith Stadium for football and track and field and Eagle Gymnasium and athletic fields for volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball and softball. Our Athletic Training Center includes a weight room dedicated to student athletes and a state-of-the-art Sports Medicine Training Facility.

Our COS men and women's basketball teams begin their 2011/2012 league schedule January 7, 2012 at home vs. Shasta College. Women will play at 5:30 PM followed by our men's team at 7:30 PM.

Men's Basketball is hosting William Jessup JV's tonight at 7 PM. Bring a can or two of food and receive free admission for this game!

On Friday night the Lady Eagles Volleyball team defeated Lassen College in three games, 25 – 15, 25 – 10, and 25 – 11. The ladies will travel to Oroville this Wednesday to take on Butte College and will be at home this Friday to play College of the Redwoods beginning at 4pm.
The football team traveled to Eureka to play College of the Redwoods on Saturday and came away with an impressive 54 – 26 victory. Taylor Cox rushed 38 times for 326 yards to break a 19 year old COS rushing record, which was set by Scott Borowsky in 1992. The center on the 1992 team was our Head Coach Charlie Roche. The football team will be at home this Saturday to open conference play vs. American River College who is currently
5 – 0 and ranked 4th in the north and 7th in the state of California.
