TAYLOR COX - 1st Team All-AMERICAN

College of the Siskiyous runningback Taylor Cox was votes to the JC Athletic Bureau - California Community College Football Coaches Association 2011 All-America Team. Taylor holds the school record for rushing yards in a game (326), rushing yards in a career (2,744) and touchdowns in a career (31).

 

MID-EMPIRE CONFERENCE AWARDS (FALL 2011)

College of the Siskiyous had eight student athletes named to the First Team All-Mid Empire Conference Team. The list includes Taylor Cox (RB), Justin Dietz (OL), Greg Vibbert (OL), Kyren Watts (WR), Alex Harvey (DL), Travis Hansen (LB), Myke Tavarres (LB) David Guthrie (DB). Honorable Mention: Lewi Larson (QB), Clay Cavender (WR), Tyler Scheller (TE), Cameron Clay (DL) De'Angelo Bell (DB). 

SISKIYOUS 70 - Shasta 7

The Eagles dominated the homecoming game.  After 3 quarter of play, College of the Siskiyous had 70 points and 558 yards of offense - Shasta College had 0 points and 79 yards of offense. Taylor Cox broke the career rushing record (2556 Yards) and the career scoring record (174 Points).  Steven Ballard broke the school record for most PAT's in a game(10). 

SISKIYOUS 65 - MENDOCINO 6

Myke Tavarres interception set up the first TD run by Taylor Cox.  The defense held Mendocino to just 195 yards and only 40 rushing yards.  David Guthrie intercepted a pass and ran it back 64 yards for a touchdown.  Taylor Cox went over a 1000 on the year with 25 carries for 199 yards and 3 TD's.  Pepper Chase had 17 carries for 117 yards and 2 TD's. Clay Cavender led the Wr's with 4 catches for 81 yards and a TD.

SISKIYOUS 54 - REDWOODS 26

Taylor Cox broke the school record for rushing in a single game with 326 yards.  Lewi Larson threw 3 TD's and ran for 2 TD's.  Kyren Watts tied the school record for receiving TD's with 3.  The Eagle Defense allowed just 47 rushing yards. 

 

SISKIYOUS 47 - YUBA 23

Yuba College came into the game with a record of 3-0, and the state’s #1 defense. Forty-seven points, and 443 yards of Eagle’s offense later, the 49ers were sitting at 3-1, and the Eagles headed to the bus with a 47-23 win. Travis Hansen led the Defense with an interception for a TD.  Clay Cavender threw a 81 yard TD pass to X'zavious Harrison.  The punter Trevor Baum ran a fake punt 74 yards for a TD.

SISKIYOUS 37 - SANTA ROSA 34

Steven Ballard hit the game winning 30 yard field goal with 48 seconds on the clock to put Siskiyous up 37 to 34. Darius Anderson and Myke Tavarres both had interceptions for touchdowns.  The defense came up big with 4 interceptions.  Taylor Cox had 2 rushing touchdowns and Lewi Larson hit Clay Cavender for a 59 yard touchdown pass for the Eagles offense.

Taylor Cox was named to the First Team All-California Team (Region II). Runningback Taylor Cox led the Mid-Empire conference in rushing yards and scoring.  Cox rushed for 1237 yards and 14 TD's.  For the second year in a row College of the Siskiyous placed a running back on the list.

 

D'Andre Dearmon was named to the First Team All-California Team (Region II). Linebacker D'Andre Dearmon led the Mid-Empire conference in tackles and tackles for loss.  Dearmon broke the school record with 130 tackles and had 19.5 tackles for loss on the year  

 

ALL MID-EMPIRE CONFERENCE (FALL 2010)

College of the Siskiyous had seven student athletes named to the First Team All-Mid Empire Conference Team. The list includes Josh Hudson (QB), Taylor Cox (RB), Cory Johnson (OL), D'Andre Dearmon (LB), Devin Howard (DL), Devin Dyer (DL), Jay Meyers (DB). Honorable Mention: Matt Christianson (OL), Jerrell Young (WR), Carlos Real (DB), Isaac Silafau (All Purpose).

ACADEMIC ALL-STATE (FALL 2009)

Patrick LunneyCollege of the Siskiyous had three student athletes named to the CCCFCA First Team Academic All-State team. Three was more than any other California community college. The list includes: Brian Vander Yacht, Nate Goodwin, and Aaron Sinnott

Patrick Lunney was named as the First Team All-California Team (Region I). Runningback Patrick Lunney led the Mid-Empire conference in rushing with 1564 yards this season for the Eagles. Lunney set a new school records this season in rushing attempt (283) and rushing yards (1564).

Eight College of the Siskiyous Eagles were named to the First Team All-Mid Empire Conference Team. List list includes Patrick Lunney (RB), Zach Young (WR), Brooks Abel (OL), Nate Goodwin (OL), Donavon Ramsdal (P), Myron Johnson (DB), Devin Houward (DL), and Devin Dyer (DL).

 

Scholar Athletes (FALL 2009)

27 members of the football team earned College of the Siskiyous Scholar Athlete Award. The award is presented to student athletes that achieve 3.00 gpa and pass 12 units. Brian Vander Yacht and Mike Heath made the President's List. Nate Goodwin, Isaac Silafau, Cameron Caviness, Charles Paddio, and Erin Kirch made the Dean's List.
