Corvallis -- Keith Robertson and Andres Reed have joined the Oregon State University football program and will participate in spring practice, head coach Mike Riley announced Thursday. Both will enter the program as walk-ons.
Robertson is a 6-2, 245-pound defensive end from Lake Oswego, Ore. He attended Foothill Community College and played for the school during the 2004 and ’05 seasons. Robertson originally signed with OSU in 2003 and in 2006. He was a first team all-state defensive end as a senior and two-time first team all-conference while playing for former OSU All-American Steve Coury at Lake Oswego High School.
Reed is a 5-11 running back who played the 2004 and ’05 seasons at the College of Siskiyous in Weed, Calif. He is a 2003 graduate of South Medford High School where he was a 4A first team all-state selection and two-time all-conference honoree. He also was a standout track performer. Reed originally signed with Portland State out of high school.
Both student-athletes have two years of eligibility remaining to be completed during the 2007 and ’08 seasons.
