In the Eagles final game, they forced undefeated Shasta to fight for their lives to preserve their perfect season. The Eagles stifled Shasta's potent offense with their 2-3 and 3-2 zone defenses. The Eagles led by 1 with just 6 minutes to play, but a late Shasta run ruined Siskiyous upset bid. Redding native Mike Hansen showed the Shasta fans what they had been missing with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Mike Baron added 22 points for the Screaming Eagles. Curry Caddell, in his finest performance, sparked the Eagles off the bench with 7 points and 5 rebounds. Hansen topped off his fine game by being named to the Golden Valley Conference's All-League team.
