    COS defeats William Jessup  88-59.

 

 

CONGRATULATIONS

The men’s basketball program is proud to announce that local student, Jantz Elliott, has signed a basketball scholarship to attend Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa. Elliott finished his high school career at Weed High then played two years at COS. Jantz was a leader here for the men’s basketball program and one of the hardest workers on a    daily basis. Congratulations Jantz!

The men's basketball program is proud to announce that Drew McNabb (Detroit, MI), Luke Cassedy (Shasta Lake City, CA) and Al Marsh (Los Angeles, CA) have all signed basketball scholarships. McNabb has signed at NW Oklahoma State. McNabb was a 1st Team All-GVC selection, a captain and won 32 games in his 2-yr career at COS. Luke Cassedy has signed at Clarke University, where he'll be reunited with COS teammate Jantz Elliott. Cassedy was an All-GVC 1st Team selection, also a captain and was in the top 10 in California in scoring. Al Marsh has signed at Peru State in Nebraska. Marsh was Honorable Mention All-GVC, a captain and led the team in assists. Congratulations to all three Eagles!

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

 

2/7/11

On Friday night our women’s and men’s basketball teams traveled to Susanville and defeated Lassen College. The women won 80 – 72 and the men won 94 – 89.

The basketball teams will play here at home this Friday night vs. College of the Redwoods. The women’s game is at 5:30 followed by the men at 7:30.

Great job this weekend.

2/3/11

Last night our basketball team’s came up a little short in their games vs. Butte College. Both of the games were great contests, with the scores going back and forth all night long. The women ended up losing 79 – 72 and the men lost 74 – 70.

Both teams will travel to Lassen this Saturday with the women’s game beginning at 5:30 and the men will follow at 7:30.

1/31/11

Saturday night our men's team lost to College of the Redwoods 77-57.  We play Butte College at home on Wednesday, February 2nd, at 7:30PM.

 

1/27/11

Last night our COS men's team beat Shasta College 67-66.  Congratulations team and coaches!

This weekend we travel to Eureka to play College of the Redwoods on Saturday at 4PM.

Wednesday, January 19th men's basketball lost to Feather River 100-92.

On Saturday, January 15th men's basketball lost to Butte 78-67. We'll travel to Feather River on Wednesday, January 19th to play at 7:30 PM.

Men's basketball wins league opener vs. Lassen 81-80.  Next game at Butte College at 2 PM on Saturday, January 16.

On Tuesday, January 4th, COS's men's basketball team defeated Umpqua Community College 65-63.

1/4/11

On Monday, January 3rd, COS men's basketball defeated Lane Community College 81-65.  COS will play Umpqua Community College tonight at 5:30 PM in Roseburg OR.

12/20/10

This last weekend our men's basketball team traveled to Saratoga to play in the West Valley Holiday Classic.  Friday night COS beat West Valley 71-57 and Saturday night COS beat Foothill by 2 in overtime after being down 20 at the half with a final score of 85-83.  Saturday, in a good battle, COS lost to Ohlone in the Championship game 77-68.
