What four Assistant Coaches for the women's team only survived coaching for one year with Coach Powers?

After one month of intense tornament play, "Buckin Root Beer" came out of the losers bracket to defeat "Henry Weinhart" 2-1 in the championship game.
"It was quite a tournament" said Mike Paddack who voted for "Buckin". "I felt we did a good job of judging but I don't know if we got the best root beer. I am lobbying for a new 8 root beer format immediately!". A dejected Shannamar Dewey who had the one vote for Henry Weinhart said, "I was disappointed in the outcome. Even though Henry's was an at-large bid into the tournament I thought it deserved the win. Clearly the Old Town vs. Buckin match-up saw some foul play that affected the overall outcome of the tourney".
Chairman of the committee, Tom Powers, who also voted for Buckin was quoted saying, "Buckin was the best of two evils, Old Town was clearly the best and the other committee members had a personal grudge against OT". Old Town finished 3rd in the event.
Plans are already underway to bring the elite eight back for their own eight team tournament.

Being a COS graduate, I wanted to find a way to help the college for giving me such a positive experience. I have always been a basketball fan and attended many of the home games. In 1990, I approached Coach Powers and asked if he needed any help in his program. He informed me that legendary scoreboard operator, Dennis DeRoss, was looking for a replacement. Dennis was stepping down because the new clock was computerized and he felt he didn't have as much control of the game.
I have enjoyed my 17 years, meeting hundreds of players, opposing coache3s, and officials. Shooting at half-time for a pizza was always a challenge.
As time has marched on and technology advanced, I arrived to start a new season only to find new scoreboards mounted on the gym walls and a new scoreboard panel. I looked at the new panel in dispelief, buttons everywhere, arrows pointing in different directions. . .all I wanted was my NEVCO Scoreboard back!
I thought to myself, "Why wasn't I asked to help choose the new control panel?".
Not lingering on that part, I thought of this new challenge only to find out after a few games it just didn't measure up to the old NEVCO!!! I now know how DeRoss felt. Like Paul Bunyan: left behind. Unlike DeRoss, I will take this beast of a scoreboard and conquer it!
I may not be happy, but that is just the way I feel!
