Donations helped immensely with the overhead of our trip. Coach Powers and I missed some of he other breathtaking performances due to our lodging, which was a mile inland. We commuted through heavy traffic each day to the Girls Beach Nest to make sure they lived up to expectations. It's a lot of responsibility but, someone's got to do it! Anyway, the trip was a smashing success. The Lady Eagles were able to showcase their multiple talents for the Mission Bay locals and oh, by the way, they found enough energy to win all four games!
Our recent San Diego 4 game road trip allowed the COS Women's Basketball team to display a plethora of talents for the Mission Bay locals.
Setting an example for toughness, the COS ladies were in the water relentlessly wearing their colorful two piece suits each day. The 50 degree temperatures didn't phase the Eagles as they role-modeled for the locals. Unfortunately, no local was ever seen without a wetsuit - confirming the softness of SO-CAL residents. To my curprise, Shannamar Dewey and Courtney Barlow put on a surfing clinic for all to see as they navigated the dangerous white waters that were gernerated by 2'-3' swells. Just awesom. Surfer Magazine was on hand to document the Blue Chip performance that will be published in the February edition.
Kristi, Stacy and Chelsea, captivated a huge crowd at Cousin Mat's appartment complex on Coronado Island with a chop-stick piano concert.
and sit-ups. This equals out to about 75 of each per day.
By playoffs he should be buffed!
What three sister combos played
on the COS basketball team?
Bonus:
Which last name includes more
than two players and how many?
Shannamar has declared she will not lose her new I Pod, (not much hope of that), and Game is trying to lose only one pair of glasses a month. Tom's resolutions in the past few years included:
1. Sending birthday cards every month on the 1st to his friends.
2. Calling a group of 13 out-of-town friends once a month.
This year he will try to do 26,000 push-ups
Do you have your New Years Resolution yet? Coach Powers tries to follow thru every year with one. Some of this team's resolutions are:
1. Giving up soda for the year
2. Try one new thing a week
3. Weight-lift three times a week
4. Go to church once a week
The COS Assistant have made theirs but most likely will fail like the rest of America.
