Also hailing from the hometown of Yuba City, but one year Katie's junior, Courtney Barlow joins the basketball team after a successful All Conference Volleyball season. Though Courtney was injured most of her senior basketball season in high school, she has jumped right back into the game. As our back-up three guard, Courtney's athleticism and quick eye for the basket-cut make her a good contribution to our squad. When asked to comment on Courtney's game, Head Coach Tom Powers replied, "if we could just get Court to grab those rebounds instead of spiking them into the crowd we could start breaking some records!" Court does have some serious hops, so look for her to fly after those boards. Like the rest of our fun-loving squad Courtney has a spirit for the adventurous, just ask the rest of the team how she shreds the waves on that $5/hour foam surf board!

Katie Pollak is a returning GVC All Conference player originating from Yuba City. This season Katie's experience and dedication set the tone early for our incoming freshmen helping the Eagles get off onto a score-hungry start. Her dynamic inside-outside game makes her a tough match-up on the court. Katie loves the Oakland A's, singing along to the Backstreet Boys, and laughing A LOT! Katie is a Sports Management Major and some day wants to be an athletic director. Watch out Dennis Roberts!
