![]() The 2006/07 team was reguarded as one of the best teams ever to don The Eagles were seeded fifth in the California State Playoffs, one spot ahead of Lassen College. COS played host to 12th seeded Las Positas in the first round of the playoffs. The COS ladies showed no mercy in building a 73-31 lead with tem minutes remaining and then cruised to a final 81-52 finish. Making it into the sweet sixteen, The Eagle's next opponent would be Foothill College on the road. This final game saw The Eagles receiving the bad end of a woeful shooting night which hadn't happened since the opening conference game against Butte College. Combined with Foothill's having one of their best nights of the season, added up to a 72 to 62 loss and the end of COS' season. With the much anticipated return of point guard, Amanda "Z" "Mate" Harris who had been injured since January the 5th, The Eagles were ready to travel to Susanville for a rematch with Conference leading Lassen Cougars. After the controversial 100-97 loss to Lassen at home, this game was due to be another high-scoring affair. The Cougars came out firing to land a 48 to 41 half-time lead. The Eagles took flight in the second half, soaring past Lassen to a final score of 101-80, and the sweet taste of revenge! Katie Pollak's career marks of 35 points and school record tying 22 rebounds were instrumental in the victory. After having tough road wins against Redwoods and Feather River the match-ups at home were never in doubt as we cruised to 92-64 and 92053 victories over both teams. Finishing the Golden Valley Conference in second place, at 8-2
