- Who broke the season free throw percentage record by shooting 82.8% for the season, only to find out that to earn that record you have to shoot a minimum average of two free throws per game?
- Shane Shelton
- Tasha Robinson
- Who led the state for most steals in a basketball season?
- Chelsea Kuehner
- Billy Offill
You may think you know the members of the Eagle basketball program but you will surely be surprised at these facts:
in last year’s playoff game. Katie Pollak who was named to the GVC All Freshman team last year, returns with her deadly three-point range that defenses will have a tough time with all season long. Other returning players, Tasha Robinson, Jessica West, and Stacy Sheriff gave us valuable minutes last year while all three are looking to step into larger roles this season. These players, along with seven talented freshmen, including New Zealand point guard Amanda Harris, will be a team to be reckoned with, and definitely a squad of Eagle Athletes that look forward to your fan support!
Eagle Women
Official basketball practice has finally begun and the Lady Eagles can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them.
What’s not to look
forward to with three
starters returning and two of them All- League players. Throw in a bunch of talented freshman and you have the makings of another League Championship. Last year’s squad,
after winning a Golden Valley Conference Championship was one shot away from returning to Fresno for
the State Finals. This year’s team is being touted as one of the best in Coach Power’s 28 year coaching career what
makes them so special?
Returning guard Chelsea Kuehner led the state in steals breaking the school record for steals in a game with 12 against Santa Rosa

Answers to Pick a Winner
- Chelsea Kuehner led the State of California for most steals in a season while COS Men’s Basketball Coach, Billy Offill, was caught stealing a pack of gum from the Yreka Wal-Mart. When questioned he said he thought small towns operate on the honor system and that he intended to pay the 25 cents when he finally got his first pay check: all charges were dropped

- Tasha Robinson shot 53 for 64 free throws. If she had shot and made just two more, she would be the current free throw percentage record holder and her name would be posted in the COS gym. Shane Shelton has never actually shot a free throw as he never gets inside the three point line: His name will only ever hold the record of most Subways owned in Siskiyou county, (which doesn’t get posted in the COS gym)
