So maybe you don't like singing along to the Back Street Boys or listening to Dane Cook. . .Well you might not fit in, but our gals will be nice to you anyway because they are great people. So here tou go Katie: you said I should write my article about how great you guys are. . .and I did it! Because you are great! So great that youdon't know how good you've got it!

****A Special Thanks****

Before we get all tossed around about
wins and losses, stats, ankle braces,
ice bags, and referees, can I please
point something out? Our season has
just begun and already we've had one
over-night road trip, complete with a
1:30AM return in a snow storm and
three games in four days. We've spent
over 16 hours in vans and eaten 7
meals on the road, coming home from
one game in Sacramento to go to a
day of classes and video review only
to turn-around early the next day
heading back to Sacramento to deal
out our second slaughter of the
season. Through it all, the girls are,
(unknown to them), SPOILED. . .
Macaroni Grill? Ice chest full of water
and soda? Desert every night? Homemade cupcakes? Practice gear washed daily? They don't even know it yet but at home games our trainers will serve them with towels and Gatorade and water. But what they are treally spoiled with, and this should be happy news to anybody: this group of girls is a great group of young adults. This team is full of quality characters and for the most part: they ALL get along! That's something on any athletic team that is rare!

The College of the Siskiyous Women's Basketball program would like to thank Head Baseball Coach Billy Hefflinger for helping raise $2,000. "Billy Baseball" started the 26.2 Club by running a marathon for the COS athletic teams. Billy's marathon time was 3:13:28. The WBB team also ran a marathon, by individually running approximately two miles. Their combined running time is unmentionable. However, the girls knew they were integral to Billy's success when the team vans met him along his running route on their way out of town to play him a little of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing".

Noelle "Puddles" Conroy is finishing up her degree in Kinesiology at Cal Baptist in Riverside. Noelle played for Coach Steve Sain who called Noelle a true leader, and a fierce competitor. Noelle is assistant coaching this year at San Bernardino Community College for former Yreka High School and COS star Sue "Crash" Crebbin.
