This project added a videoconferencing classroom to each of the Siskiyou County high schools that did not yet have this capability. It also updated existing endpoint equipment, provided new functionality for instructors and students, and upgraded the central infrastructure to support the added endpoints and new classroom functions.
The new COS Rural Health Sciences Institute, approved by Siskiyou County voters in 2005, will be a resource for the community to access a wide variety of healthcare information and classes.
A survey was completed earlier in 2009 and a Research Report released in August 2009 to provide input on the future direction of instructional and community programs to be delivered through the Institute.
