This course is designed as an introduction to and overview of the field of archaeology and the study of past human cultures through their material remains. Topics to be covered include the history, theory, and practice of archaeology.

In addition to obtaining the textbooks from the campus bookstore, it may be possible to locate used textbooks online. Some avenues worth exploring are:
If you do purchase online make sure you order the correct version, and that the books will arrive within the first week of class.
Another option is to rent your textbook. One online company that rents textbooks at very reasonable prices ( the last time I checked the above textbook was about $34 for the semester) is Chegg.com
