COS Art Gallery Mission Statement

The goal of the art gallery program is to provide a venue in which to expose students to fine art. A thriving gallery space will enhance our students' understanding of the fine arts. This gallery serves both an educational and exhibit function.

The art faculty recognizes that COS should maintain exhibition standards consistent with the professional standards demonstrated by art museums and galleries of much larger institutions of higher education, in order to provide excellence in education, cultural enrichment, and service to the community. We offer exhibits of contemporary art works by professional artists with wide-ranging exhibit records to our target audience - COS art students, the college community, and the community at large.

The COS gallery program, in combination with our art department, offers outstanding art education to both our students and the community.
