Web Site Project

As the focus of this class, you are asked to produce a web site project. This project is worth 40 points (40% of your grade) and is required to pass the course. The parameters are:

Each student will pick a web site of their own to apply lessons and topics covered in this course. The web site can be in the planning or ongoing stage. You are required to turn in your project by midnight on the Sunday after the last day of class (3/12/08).

The Web Site Project must contain the following components:

  • Name of Web site with brief description (Mission?)
  • Defined goals of website
  • Defined target audience
  • List of Web features appropriate for target audience (min 3)
  • Chosen promotional techniques best suited to market the site
  • Defined methods of tracking to determine marketing effectiveness
