This course examines the basic principles of ecology that affect the survival and adjustment of organisms to environmental forces. Ecosystems, energy, cycles in nature, limiting factors, population growth, and interactions will be studied.

What we mean is...

This course could be called "how nature works". It is about ecosystems. Sample topics: tropical rainforests, tundras, deserts, rivers, islands, oceans, exotic species, marine mammals, migratory birds, extinctions. 

Will it transfer???

This course is degree applicable, and will transfer to the University of California and the California State University systems. 

There is no required prerequisite. This course is offered occasionally.
