Aquatic Biology
A general education course in the natural history and biology of aquatic enviromnments. Consideration will given to the ecology and life histories of organisms significant to fisheries and wildlife food chains and to recreational uses of water; types and sources of pollutants and their effects upon aquatic life. Involves four all-day Saturday field trips. Lab. What we mean is... What animals and plants live in freshwater and saltwater environments? What are the critical factors for life in lakes, rivers, oceans, and coasts? Take this course to find out. Will it transfer??? This course is degree applicable, and will transfer to the University of California and the California State University systems.
There is no required prerequisite. This course is offered occasionally.
