Final Project

This project must be turned in (FTP'd to your project folder) by Midnight on Tuesday, May 15.

Create a web site using a mix of the four languages, HTML, PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript as a final project for the class.

1) The site must have at least 4 pages that in some way using a mix of the four languages, HTML, PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.

2) Have a database with at least one table with at least 4 fields. The users will need to be able to insert new records into the table and to query results from the table as well.

3) Use check boxes, text fields, menus, radio buttons and hidden fields to interact with the user is some sort of “fun” fashion.

4) Use JavaScript to have image rollovers, drop down menus, form validation, alert boxes and prompt boxes.

5) The whole purpose is to create DHTML (Dynamic HTML). Stuff should change on the site while I am there and when I come back later.

6) Include images to decorate the pages.

7) The project should demonstrate creativity through implementing some of the advanced web design techniques you have learned.

8) Have some theme through out the site. The pages should relate to one another.

9) The Final Project is worth 50 points of your final grade as follows:

• 14 points - project idea, creativity. I would like you to come up with an interesting application.
• 14 points - web page implementation, interface. Is the interface clear? Is there enough information so that the user understands what is expected of them?
• 22 points - implementation and functionality. Do the scripts and pages work correctly? Is the programming clear, documented and correct?

The project is due at midnight on May 15th. If you absolutely cannot turn it in by the deadline, the following points will be deducted from your grade:
