  • Assessment 1 - Create a PowerPoint presentation from scratch
    • Using the skills you have acquired in the first four chapters of PowerPoint Level 1, create a PowerPoint presentation with a topic of your choice.
      • Have a discussion with the instructor about your topic before you begin and no later than May 7th, during class time.
    • Include your name and the title of your presentation on the first slide
    • The presentation must have a minimum of 10 slides and not more than 20
    • The presentation must have a minimum of 5 images
    • You will want to tell a story, provide facts, or otherwise share a complete story with the audience.
    • Use any theme you like - even from scratch!
    • Remember the "half your audience age rule"
    • Prepare handouts for your presentation
  • Assessment 2 - Give a Presentation to the class
    • On May 14th you will give a 10 minute presentation of Assessment 1 to the whole class
    • Provide the instructor with copy of your PowerPoint presentation file.
    • Practice, Practice, Practice

Helpful Hints:

  • Make sure you spell check your presentation
  • Make sure to talk to the instructor about your topic before you begin
  • Make sure you have your handouts printed before the class presentation
  • Recheck the instructions to make sure you completed each step
  • Remember who your audience is, how much time you have, and any additional materials or handouts you will need to give your presentation
  • Practice, Practice, Practice
