Create 8 images to use as
graphical links that highlight when the mouse pointer
is dragged over them. This will be a set of 4 images
for the "static" state and 4 images for the "hover"
state. You can use any graphic program you like. An
online option would be to use the CoolText
graphics generator site. Upload them to your class
web site "images" folder.
Create a simple page titled Exercise 17a and place
the graphical hyperlinks on this page. Save the page
as "exercise17a.htm" inside your exercises folder you
created in Exercise 01.
Title the four images and use the links below:
COS Home - http://www.siskiyous.edu
My Class Site - link to your home page for
this class using a relative link
Search the Web! - http://www.google.com
Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page
Use your "all media" CSS style sheet you created
in Exercise 01
Create and enter the code that will preload all
of your images.
Using the banner ad images from the book examples
in
Chapter
17, place the banner ads so they load on
the right side of your page.
Set the time for 5 seconds per ad
Use your first and last name initials and
the word "banner" for the element id (no spaces)
Use the http://www.talltalesgame.com link
Place a 1 pt border around the images
Place all of the images in your "images"
folder.
Create a page heading (H1) with this text - The
Least You Need to Know About Scripting
Key in text following this heading that
can be found in your book on page 317-318.
Use the first two paragraphs that follow the
books' heading of the same name.
Email the instructor when
you have completed the assignment. In the subject of
the email use the words - Weekly Exercise 17a Completed.
Place a link in the email to your completed exercise.
