Weekly Exercise 19a: Read all of the steps before you begin
  1. Create a new page from scratch (or template) and save as exercise19a.htm
  2. Title the page - Web 2.0
  3. Key in the first two paragraphs under the Heading - Embedding Video with Windows Media Player - found on pages 370 and 371
  4. Go to YouTube and find a video using the keyword/tag search - "Web 2.0"
  5. Copy the embed code provided on the YouTube site
  6. Paste this code into your web page. Center the video left to right.
  7. Clean up (tidy) the code so that each section and parameter is easily visable.
    1. Play with the size of the player to see how this works. Pick a size that is appropiate for your page and the video.
  8. Write a one or two paragraph description of the video and your in own words define "Web 2.0" Place this description below the video
  9. Save your work and upload it to your student site exercise folder
  10. When you have made sure everything works email to the instructor. Include in the subject - Weekly Exercise 19a Completed. If you use the link provided the subject will automatically be entered.

  • Did you name the file exercise19a.htm ??
  • Do all of your links work?
  • Did you check your email to see if it worked?
  • Did the video load and run?
  • Do you like the layout of your site? How might you change it?
  • Don't forget to send the instructor an email when you are done
