If you don't already have
an account on Blogger.com, got out and create one.
Create a blog on Blogger.com with a title and address
of your choice.
Do not use the advanced setup at this time. Choose
CONTINUE
Choose a template from the list provided. We will
change/modify this template later.
Start Blogging!
In the Posting Tab create your first blog entry.
Choose a title of your choice and then write at least
one paragraph to introduce your blog.
Insert at least one image of your choice
Insert at least one hyperlink
Post your first entry.
Change the Blog Archive view to:
Style - Hierarchy
Options - Show Post Titles
Archive Frequency - Weekly
Date Format - Year: 2006 Month: Jan
Save Changes
Change the About Me view to:
Decide if you want to share your profile or not
About Me - Show on this blog is checked
Name - First and Last
Description - Write a one sentance description
- be creative
Location - Show on this blog is checked
City/Town - enter your home
Region/State - enter your state
Country/Territory - enter Not Specified
Save Changes
Under the Settings Tab choose Basic and then write
a brief description for your site. This will appear
in the header of every page.
Make any other changes you like and then Save

Under the Settings Tab choose Formatting and then
make any changes you like to the number of posts, date
format, ect - that you like.
Save Changes
Under the Settings Tab choose Comments and make the
following changes:
Comments - Show
Who Can Comment? - Anyone
Comments Default for Posts - New Posts Have Comments
Backlinks - Show
Backlinks Default for Posts - New Posts Have
Backlinks
Comments Timestamp Format - Your Choice
Comment Form Message - Write a short message
to those who comment on your page
Show comments in a popup window? - No
Enable comment moderation? - No
Show word verification for comments? - Yes
Show profile images on comments? - Your choice
Comment Notification Email - Enter your email
address (you will get an email when someone posts
to your blog)
Save Settings
Create a link on your class web site that goes to
your new blog.
Create one link on your Home page
Create a second link in your exercise area for
Excecise 21a
When you have made
sure everything works email the instructor.
Include in the subject - Weekly Exercise 21a Completed.
If you use the link provided the subject will automatically
be entered.
