Night at the Burning Man Festival is a time when anything can happen. The air is often a mixture of smoke and playa dust, and the sound of drums and techno music are sure to be heard off in the distance. The darkness is assaulted by glow sticks, electro-luminescent wire lights, and fire-breathing art cars. Participants, perhaps dressed as angel, thug or a character from a Shakespearean play dance past in a cacophony of sound and light. Below I have included a few images and sounds that, while certainly not the same as being there, will at least give you a hint of the magic and mayhem of night at Burning Man!
| One minute Real Media video of scenes from the Burn of 8/31/02. The top link video is very low quality, but it works well enough for those that have a slow modem connection. The other link is the same video in a larger format at higher quality--best viewed with a high speed Internet connection. If you do not have the free RealOne player, you can download the player.
