Trying to "create' an
urban legend is not easy work!
A couple of years ago, I had an energetic student that wanted to create his
own "urban legend." After doing a bit of research to
discover the most common elements of urban legends, he felt he was ready to
create a legend of his own. Next, he wrote the legend up, made a few xeroxes,
and posted the legend around the campus and in Mt Shasta. A year later,
one student in the folklore class stated she had "read it somewhere" and that
she had thought it was true. One believing student does not make a legend, but
we shall see what happens down the road. Anyway, here's Mike H's legend:
