Photocopy or Duplicate Lore:
Almost anyone working at a public agency, school or office has some knowledge
of "Xerox Lore"-- the commo
n
name applied to photocopied or duplicated graphics and/or text passed from office
to office. Most seem to deal with sex, current affairs or work problems. Quite
a few are anti-man, politically incorrect, and darn funny. I collected the attached
lore example from a local secondary school teacher. As you can tell from the condition
of the copy, it has been duplicated a number of times. The sheet sarcastically
exclaims: "Children, tired of being harassed by your stupid parents? Act
Now! Move out, get a job, pay your own bills, while you still know everything."
