Geology of California
Geology of California introduces the state's major geologic features,
from the Sierra Nevada to the San Andreas fault, and explores the processes
that have created and continue to shape them today. It also reviews the nearly
two billion years of Earth's history recorded in California's rocks as a guide
to the origin of the region's mineral wealth and clues to what its geologic
future may hold.
