There is lots of information about the math skills used in science posted on the Web that may be useful as a supplement to our text or as a jumping off point from which to learn more on your own. Here are a few sites to start with:

• Math.com: This site provides both brief and more in-depth presentations on a wide range of math topics, as well as examples and a selection of practice problems for you to try. It's a great resource for brushing up on many of the basic math skills we'll be using in Oceanography.
