| Geology of the Oregon Coast
An introduction to the geology of southwestern Oregon that includes an evening presentation and a three-day field trip. The evening talk will describe the geology and geologic history of the region, emphasizing the development of the Klamath Mountains and Coast Range as well as modern coastal processes. The field trip will afford students opportunities to explore a wide variety of geologic features at sites ranging from Oregon Caves National Monument to Cape Blanco.
Note: Transportation will be provided, but students will be responsible for: meals during the trip; campground or motel fees on Friday and Saturday nights; and a small fee for the tour at Oregon Caves.
