Geology of the Sacramento River Canyon

Geology of the Sacramento River Canyon introduces the geologic setting, history, resources, and hazards of the part of the eastern Klamath Mountains exposed in the Sacramento River Canyon during two evening programs and a one-day field trip. The trip will afford opportunities for students to explore features ranging from Castle Crags to Shasta Caverns, and to examine the river’s role in regional landscape development.
