Is your service open to everyone or does it have restrictions or cost any money?

The transfer center is free and open to everyone; enrolled students and the general public.

What hours is your office open?

Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

How do I apply for your service?

The service is open entry. Just go by the Welcome Center and introduce yourself. Most of the time students and the general public just have one or two questions about transferring.

Where is it located?

The transfer center is located in the Welcome Center in the Administration Building.

The transfer center has a lot of information and resources to assist me in my efforts to transfer to a four year college or university. I will find an advisor that specializes in my major to ensure that I am on track. There are catalogs, applications, and financial aid information on just about every college in California and across the nation. They will help me fill out forms and keep me aware of schools that are sending representitives to our campus. In fact, everything I need to know or do to transfer to another school can be done at the transfer center.

Now before you attempt the quiz, (Assignment 7) you will need to have the college web site available to you. The quiz will ask you specific questions concerning important services that are available. They may or may not be the ones you evaluated for the previous assignment.
