 Welcome to College of the Siskiyous’ College Orientation course. This course was designed to assist you in discovering all the ins and outs of attending COS. The way to work this class is very easy; however, if you don’t know some primary functions when using the computer it will be difficult to successfully complete this class.  Read over the information in the link below and let me know if you have any questions

1. Have you attended college prior to this semester? if so, where and when?

2. Have you ever been enrolled in an internet course before? If so, how did it go?

3. What is your academic area of interest? (major)

4. What are your academic goals? (Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, Fire Science Certificate)

5. What is the real reason you are enrolled in this class? Your response will have no bearing on your grade or our relationship. Please be honest.

6. Are you on campus during the day at any time on Monday through Friday? This is just a yes or no question.

7. How many units are you enrolled in for the spring 2008?

8. At this time, do you feel you know the ins and outs of the educational system at COS?

9. Do you have a completed educational plan on file at COS?

10. Are you receiving financial aid this semester?

11. Are you using any of the services offered at COS this semester?

12. Do you have a student account in the computer lab?

13. Are you aware of the requirements you need to meet to achieve the goal you stated in question 4?

14. When are assignments due each week?

15. Do I accept late work?

16. Are you familar with the Navigator system at the College of the Siskiyous?

 

 

 

From now on, each week will be broken down into four parts. Please complete them in the following order: Go to the assignments link and

  1. Read through the lecture for the chapter.
  2. Complete the assignments for the chapter.
  3. Take the Quiz assigned for each chapter.
  4. Go on to the next week assigned for the week.
