MATH 56 - Elementary Algebra

Spring 2008 Online Class Information Page

MATH 56 is an introduction to algebra including properties of and operations on real numbers, linear equations, linear systems, exponents, polynomials, factoring, rational expressions, radicals, quadratic equations, parabolas and variation.

This online version of elementary algebra is taught using state of the art software by Plato Learning, applicable to all learning styles. You need to have a computer with internet access. Be sure that you have the correct system requirements by going to the following link:

Homework, quizzes, and discussion questions will be done online. The mid-term and final exams will be written exams completed at an approved testing center. You can view the full syllabus for this course by clicking on the following link: Online MATH 56 Syllabus

Do not purchase your book until you have attended one of the orientation sessions or communicated with your instructor! You should plan on attending one of the following orientation sessions: Tuesday Jan. 15 from 11 - 12 in the LRC computer lab or Wednesday Jan. 16 from 3:30 - 4:30 in the LRC computer lab.
