Music Appreciation is a survey of the 5 main historical periods in Western Classical Music from the Middle Ages to the Modern Era. Students will also examine how the cultural, social, and political issues of the day inspired great composers and their work. The course begins with an overview of the basic elements of music to enhance the study of the listening material required for this course. This course is offered completely online with no class meetings or orientations. All exams and assignments are submitted online.
