This course introduces students to the ideas and philosophies of non-violence. It is holistic, gender fair, racially neutral, interdisciplinary and diverse. Non-violent dispute resolution and peer mediation will be studied and practiced. The lives and works of twelve peacemakers of the twentieth century will serve as role models.
