These are my Course Policies

Attendance: Punctuality and regularity of attendance are required for satisfactory completion of course work. A student may incur absences equal to the number of meetings per week (3) after which the instructor has the option of dropping the student from the class.

Withdrawal: A student may withdraw before the end of the 10th week and is responsible for notifying Admissions and Records and completing all necessary forms.

Incompletes: Arrangements for an incomplete must be made with the instructor and the student must have completed 75% of the course with a "C" average or better. An incomplete will only be given in the case of an extreme personal or family emergency.

Cheating: Cheating or plagiarism, in any form, on tests or assignments will not be tolerated.  If a student is found to be in violation of the cheating policy, he/she will receive an F in this class.

Make-Ups: There are no make-ups for any tests missed. If you cannot take a test on the scheduled test day due to illness, athletic events, etc., it is your responsibility to contact/call the instructor to take the test earlier.  

Reading Lab:All lab assignments for the chapter must be completed before the test day.

Late Assignment: All homework is due the date and time the test is given. No late homework will be accepted. 

Cell Phones, IPods, and Pagers: When you are in class and in the Reading Lab, turn off all cell phones, IPods, and pagers.

Grading: All tests and homework assignments are based on the following grading scale:

                                                                     A = 4000 - 3600 points
                                                                     B = 3599 - 3200 points
                                                                     C = 3199 - 2800 points
                                                                     D = 2799 - 2400 points
                                                                     F = 2399 - 0       points

                    There are a total of 10 tests and 10 homework assignments.  

There will be a total of 10 unannounced quizzes (one for each chapter) that will be counted as extra credit. (10 points each for a total of 100 points extra credit).

Final Course Grade: The final course grade is based on all of the sections below.

                               Homework assignments (10)...= 1000 points
                               Lab…...………………………...= 1000 points
                               Tests (10)…..………………….= 1000 points
                               Final…....……………………….= 1000 points
