Course description
Mount Shasta Field Geology introduces the geologic setting, eruptive history, eruptive products and potential hazards of Mount Shasta during an evening lecture and a Saturday field trip. The field trip will afford students opportunities to explore volcanic and glacial features on the flanks of a peak that geologists estimate has a one in ten chance of erupting during their lifetimes.
