As funds are available, the Foundation provides staff mini-grants to support innovative activities that advance the College mission. The Foundation seeks to increase involvement in interdisciplinary learning opportunities for faculty and staff and support the Educational Master Plan of the College. All COS staff and faculty are encouraged to apply for a mini-grant.

The COS Foundation offers a variety of scholarships to current high school seniors planning to attend COS, continuing COS students, and re-entry students. Scholarship award amounts vary from $250 to $3,000. Applications are annually made available to the public and may be picked up from the Weed Campus COS Institutional Advancement Office (located in the Student Center). Completed applications should be returned to the COS Office of Institutional Advancement, Attn: Foundation Scholarship Program, 800 College Avenue, Weed, CA 96094 by March 15 each year.
The Pension Protection Act of 2006 (HR 4) clarified and changed many of the guidelines for administering scholarships.
