JumpStart is a $3,000 per year nomination-based scholarship funded by the Ford Family Foundation and awarded to qualified Siskiyou County residents between the ages of 18 and 21.  Recipients are nominated based on educational and financial need.  Nominators may include instructors, advisors, counselors, or employers.  This scholarship is meant for full time students at College of the Siskiyous.   The nomination deadline is May 15, 2012.

  • Cafeteria/Eagle Café cards
  • Assistance with textbooks
  • Educational supplies
  • Academic advising
  • Bi-monthly group lunches in the student center

2012-2013 Nominations

The JumpStart Scholarship is designed to encourage students to continue in higher education at their local community college. This program seeks students with average GPAs who may need encouragement and financial assistance to realize their full potential. Qualified applicants should be ready and willing to make the needed commitment to regularly attend college full time. Student applicants must be nominated for the program by a teacher, counselor, advisor, employer, or community leader.

Please download the 2012-2013 Nomination Form and send in (postmarked) no later than May 15, 2012.
