Guidelines for Internet Use

Internet access is provided in the library primarily for school-related
research. It is not intended for games, chat, or entertainment. These
computers must not be used for profit-making activities.

If others are waiting, please limit use to 20 minutes. Maximum
use: 2 hours per day.

There is currently no charge for printouts. Please limit printouts
to 15 pages per session. Exceptions to this limit must be approved
by the library staff.

Unassisted use of the COS Library Internet access by non-COS student
minors (under 18 years of age) unaccompanied by an adult is prohibited
without written permission of parent or legal guardian. Assisted use
for minors is provided by the library staff. Ask at the circulation
desk.

Because the computers are in a public setting, display and distribution
of offensive images and text is prohibited.

Use of the Internet must be in accordance with the COS Internet Use
Policy http://www.siskiyous.edu/policies/technology
and the COS Student Code of Conduct http://www.siskiyous.edu/library/conduct.htm
- Users who fail to comply with the Library's Guidelines for Internet
Use may lose their privilege to use the library computers.
