Matsue-jou Listen to Japanese term!

Matsue-jou (castle) sits atop Kameda-yama and is surrounded by a moat that is one of the many canals of Matsue. This castle was built during the Momoyama period when Oda Nobunaga came into power. The period name Momoyama (Peach Hill) is named after the site of one of the castles built during this time.
