Japanese dress robe

Kimonos are made from one bolt of fabric, which is about 9 meters long and 30 centimeters wide. Kimonos are generally made in a one-size-fits-all style. The excess material is folded under the obi to make the kimono shorter. Young women and children tend to wear brightly colored and patterned material while older women wear plain-colored kimono, sometimes with designs at the shoulder or hem. Men tend to wear blue, gray, or brown kimono.
