Sumo wrestling is an old Shinto art that became popularized during the Edo period. The general term for wrestler is sumoutori or rikishi, but there are several names depending on one's rank. Beginner's are called jonokuchi and grand champions are yokozuna, with sekitori being the name for high-ranking wrestlers below yokozuna.
