We are offering more online courses this summer than ever before!

This may be your opportunity to take a GE transfer class you have been unable to fit into your schedule.

Current Online Courses

If you don't know where to go to get started with your online course, see the list of courses and click on the link for yours. There you should find contact information for your instructor and instructions on logging in. If your class is taught through Etudes, the Etudes Student Help and Getting Started with Navigator pages can provide useful assistance, as well as contact information if you get stuck. Be sure to set up your COS student e-mail

and check it regularly (or have it forwarded to an address you check regularly); that is the e-mail address the College will be using to communicate with you.

Orientation to Online Learning - EDUC 0890

Are you new to online courses? Does your on-campus class require you to use Etudes to access course material? Take the 1/2 unit course, Orientation to Online Learning (EDUC 0890), starting June 11, 2012, to learn to use Etudes, our online course management system. Currently, over 100 COS courses make use of the Etudes LMS (Learning Management System), so now is a good time to become familiar with it!

Successful Online Learning

Being successful in an online course requires a significant commitment from the student. Please take a few minutes and review the "Online Survival Guide."

Library Services to Distance Education Students

Students can search the Library's Online Catalog for holdings of books, magazines, newspapers, reserve textbooks and materials, college catalogs, audio/video materials, pamphlet files, etc. For access to other databases and further information, visit the library's website.
