Clubs and Organizations

Student clubs are an excellent way to become involved in the college and meet new people!! Being an active member of a student club is a great way to learn leadership and effective communication skills. It is also beneficial to have for job and college applications.

The following clubs are available on campus. If you do not see a club that you are interested in or wish to form your own club please refer to your student handbook or see the ASB advisor, Kimberly Barden, for the process in establishing a new club or organization on campus!!

The purpose of the Black Student Union is to promote African American awareness and achievement on the College of the Siskiyous Campus through academics and cultural events. This club is open to all students to share in the richness of our heritage.

The club is for students interested in the COS theatre productions and/or classes. Members participate in fundraisers by selling refreshments, painting faces, and other activities. Students have the opportunity to participate in acting competitions and workshops.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is an international honor society for two-year college students. To qualify for membership, students need to achieve and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 in at least 12 units of degree applicable work. Phi Theta Kappa members receive official recognition of their status on their academic transcript and in the graduation program, and have the opportunity to compete for over $35 million in transfer scholarships. Through its honors programs, club meetings, and service project, Phi Theta Kappa provides academically motivated students with fellowship, leadership training, intellectual challenge, and positive involvement with both the COS and extended campuses.

SIFE is active on more than 1,400 college and university campuses in more than 33 countries. Through a collaborative effort between business and education, SIFE Teams improve the quality of life and the standard of living around the world by teaching the principles of market economics, entrepreneurship, business ethics and personal financial success.
