Foreword
It is the responsibility of the Board of Trustees to discharge
local responsibilities and to use public funds efficiently and effectively to
facilitate full educationsl opportunities for all who attend.
In fiscal matters, the Board shall
- conform to local, state, and federal legislation.
- pursue adequate funding levels through apportionment, maximizing small college
benefits.
- obtain maximum benefits for the District through categorical funds and through
alternate sources of income.
- observe sound fiscal practices through generally accepted accounting principles
and a uniform accounting system, internal management controls, and fiscal
accountability.
The Board fulfills these obligations by delegating authority to the Superintendent/President
or his/her designee as outlined in Board policies.
